Add Debugger Breakpoint To use the debugger, click the Debug menu and then choose Start. The first time you attempt to debug a new web site you will get a message box, similar to the one shown in Figure 1-31, which will explain that debugging is not enabled for the project by default. There is a web configuration file for each application that you can use. NET AND VISUAL STUDIO 2005 file can contain information about the project and how the application should behave. Working with the configuration file is outside the scope of this book.

You can do this by clicking the gray area to the left of the line so that a maroon bar appears over the line. You can start to debug the application by choosing Start from the Debug menu. If you do this, you may be told that a configuration file must be created first. Click OK and the page should begin to load in a Web browser. The four main access modifiers for properties are public, private, readonly, and writeonly. Public properties are available to any code using an instance of the class, while private properties are available only to the class. Readonly properties can only be read from the class and writeonly properties can only be written to the class.
